This domain name was registered sometime in 2012 (?) .... I'm guessing because I saw a wp admin / 2012 / 11 images because I was looking for the original logo...  LOL! 

... back then I was working on a real estate-related website and needed to test drive plugins that were real-estate related.  

So I read up on real estate .. thought I'd register the domain name.  

Back then, I didn't really know much about online marketing (I was a techie on the back end side of things, not much on the front end, even if I could build simple websites using static HTML.  

Then I saw a video on "blogging" ... purchased informational products and also became an affiliate of that business.  

I bought the informational products, and then learned it, applied it and then taught it, through blogging.  

I needed a domain name and thought, "I'd recycle" ... I'll use whatever extra domain I had, since that would be the "username". 

So much for niche marketing - the domain is NOT even related!  Hahaha! 

I blogged daily for three years.  (I had an alarm; 60 minutes is what I allocated for it) - blogged about whatever came to mind. 

What I learned from those info video products, worked for me, because I just applied it.  

There were other feedback on those info products, but I guess experiences and recollections about that company varies.  

It worked for me.  

Because I applied it.  

Knowledge is not power, APPLIED knowledge is power.  

I learned how to rank posts on search engines, created accounts on social media sites. and just shared links to my blog posts.  

The CMS bsck then was WordPress-based, but that company offered it like a Software as a Service.  

I had 365 days x 3 years = total number of posts.  

Do the math.  

My experience with blogging daily was cathartic.  

All the affiliates met every 3 months in conferences, around the U.S. 

Those days were fun and well documented, in pictures on our social media accounts.

Almost all of my Face book account "friends" were online marketers. 

My Linked in account connections were former colleagues, graduate school professors, classmates, other scientists. 

The ones on Instagram are just those like me, I guess, who like inspirational quotes and beautiful pictures.    

The Face book page, was still up - the last time I checked, maybe a couple of years ago... 

My social media fasting went on so long, and it just was infuriating when I did try to get access to those accounts again, but they asked for government I.D., I was like .... 

... what are you?  T. S. A.?

I'm not giving my Government I.D. to a website. 

So, I figured, they can have the account.  

I'll just blog that I don't have access to it anymore.  

I tried doing that on Linked in - same thing.  

I said, well, can you remove my account and profile picture then?  They still want my I.D.   

I remember BEFORE I went social media fasting, I saw some websites plagiarizing my content, scraping even my pictures, posting as if they were me, so, I was like...

... burnt out.

Who cares? 

I purposely broke my website, exported all my content and republished them elsewhere - put codes on it first, so it automatically returns to my website. 

Even videos, I was able to put codes that says this content is only to be viewed on the website, "if you are viewing this on another website, it's getting scraped."   

It became like, instead of me just blogging away, I was worried about those sites that automatically post my new posts, via RSS.  

LOL!  

Then I decided.  

Okay, I have my own conclusion now, gained experientially with daily blogging for 3 years.  

I'm done.  

So I went back to my quiet tech and side-gigs.  

Went to ministry / missional / missionary work for 4 years. 

Built sites. 

Many sites. 

E-commerce sites. 

Forums. 

Even built my own WP Theme. 

Customized forums. 

Even chats, that automatically deletes itself every hour on the hour. No chats stored on any database, brainstorming while testing.  And also praying.  

But this domain, was always at the back of my mind.  (Together with other niche domain sites that I have left). 

At one point, my old webhost (who I registered the domain name with) tried to charge me $1,000 for it, same for the bible app site, (because they said, "it was getting traffic."). 

I switched the Domain Name Registration to another Domain Name Registrar - paid $10 each. 

That's why I always advise to ALWAYS keep domain name registration SEPARATE from webhosting. 

When I checked another social media account, Insta gram, yay!  I could still log in! 

And I still have a couple of thousand followers who stayed! 

I thought I'd use my original photos, I tried to embed at first but then I remembered I disabled the "embeds".  So, I thought, that would be a good experiment to do.

But I thought I would post it here too (and those sites that I will be stress-testing).  

Then I noticed, on each photo, I had THIS domain at the bottom of the images.  

So ... now, my decision to resurrect this domain.  

From a WP Blog - WP CMS - to my own CMSbyCW. 

Yeah, built out of necessity. 

You might ask, what happened to that original blog company, Empower Network?  They closed down, they filed for bankruptcy.  It was too bad what happened to the Founder / Co-Founder and the company itself.  

I think it was about two years ago, I called the former CEO of it, and we spoke for several hours. 

I just wanted to thank him, because in a lot of indirect ways, he has helped me with all those tutorial and teaching videos that he put out, that's how I learned online marketing. He also exposed a lot of bad practices so he was transparent about that.  He taught what was possible in online marketing.  He was always friendly during those conferences when we (all bloggers) met every 3 months.  It was sad that it went down the way it did, but he found God through all of it.  God disciplines His children, and we all go through our own spiritual journey.

I base my impression or judgment of someone, completely based on HOW that someone treats me, my personal experience with that person, and not what other people say about them.

I think that company was like a motivational company wrapped up in informational products for sale.  

So, this is the domain that I used for that online marketing journey.

Now my own CMS is up, I thought, well, this domain should be up too!
